Every month in our Children’s Room, we have a new scavenger hunt kids are able to complete any time we’re open. Find everything in the hunt, and win a prize from our legendary Treasure Chest! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

THE FINE PRINT: Scavenger hunts are available anytime the library is open. We ask that children only complete one hunt per month.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

We started a mini-food pantry in the vestibule of the main library entrance: please help yourself to anything during library hours. Donations of non-perishable food items are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Bellwood-Antis Farmer’s Market just got an infusion of storytime goodness from the Bellwood-Antis Public Library. Once a month, the library will visit the Farmer’s Market for a special outdoor storytime. Enjoy a story before or after your family shops!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Storytimes happen at 10 AM on July 11th, August 8th, September 12th, and October 10th. Meet at the gazebo at the community park–bring a picnic blanket or beach towel to sit on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Toddler Time is moving to a new date and time this summer: starting Wednesday, July 15th at 10:30 AM and continuing every Wednesday through August 12th, Toddler Time is a special toddler-friendly, toddler-sized storytime for children ages 18 months-3 years. Full of stories, songs, and the kind of silliness you can only get from a trained library professional, Toddler Time is a gateway to a love of literacy and the library your little one is sure to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Toddler Time is free, and new families are always welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Celebrate the independence to do whatever you want with Lego bricks! Club Lego is on Thursday, July 2nd and 16th from 6-7 PM on both dates. Club Lego is an hour of Lego freestyling for kids ages 5 and up, and new members are always welcome!
A parent or caregiver must stay in the building while children attend the Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We present a PAWS to Read session on Saturday, July 18th from 10:30-11:30 AM. Kids will meet and read to an adoptable cat friend from the Central PA Humane Society. Reading to animals is an ideal way for children who may struggle with reading to build skills while hanging out with a non-judgmental animal friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program is for children ages 5 and up: we ask that a parent or caregiver stay with their child during the program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Reptile fans of all ages are invited to come meet the turtles of the Blair County Conservation District at a library Turtle Talk on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00 PM. Learn all about Pennsylvania’s most beloved heroes in a half shell! <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Attention Princesses (and other peers of the Bellwood-Antis Realm): the library requests the pleasure of your company at a Tea Party on Thursday, July 30th at 5 PM. Enjoy tea, light snacks, and a most elegant and entertaining storytime.

Give us 2-4 weeks in advance, and we can also order your books from libraries in Blair, Bedford, Cambria, Huntingdon, and Lackawanna Counties. The library\u2019s ongoing costume jewelry sale is your one stop shop for affordable bling! We have vintage pieces, signed pieces, and as-is odds and ends ideal for crafters. All jewelry is for sale for a freewill donation. Shop anytime the library is open: 1-8 PM Monday-Thursday and Saturdays from 9 AM-2 PM. Donations of used and new costume jewelry for this ongoing fundraiser are appreciated. Drop off donations anytime the library is open.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
